Budweiser Budvar

Budweiser Budvar is a national brewery of the Czech Republic with over 700 years of brewing history in the city of České Budějovice. Founded in 1895 as a state-owned enterprise, Budweiser Budvar remains a 100% state-owned brewery, which allows it to preserve traditions, independence, and quality control. It is one of the most recognizable Czech brands in the world and a symbol of authentic Czech lager beer.

Today, the brewery exports its products to more than 80 countries, including Germany, the United Kingdom, the USA, Japan, and Kazakhstan. The annual production volume of Budweiser Budvar exceeds 1.8 million hectoliters. The flagship product of the brand remains the original Budweiser Original — a pale lager brewed according to a traditional recipe using only Saaz hops, Czech barley malt, and artesian water from its own source, aged in lager tanks for at least 90 days.

Budweiser Budvar is known for its principled stance on quality and origin. The brewery does not open subsidiary operations abroad, and all beer is produced exclusively in the Czech Republic under strict control. As a result, Budvar remains one of the few truly authentic lager beers in the world. The brand has received numerous international awards, including World Beer Awards, Monde Selection, International Brewing Awards, and European Beer Star. Budweiser Budvar has also been recognized for its contribution to preserving the cultural heritage of the Czech Republic and is listed as a national treasure.
