Perviy Pivzavod (First Brewery) is one of the largest and oldest beer producers in Kazakhstan, combining rich heritage, modern technologies, and high-quality standards. The history of the brewery dates back to 1858, when the first guild merchant Vasily Kuznetsov founded the first brewery in Verny (now Almaty). This was the first official beer production in the Semirechye region, which laid the foundation for the development of the brewing culture in the area.
The modern phase of the brewery’s development began in 2003 when a high-tech production facility was established on the basis of the historic enterprise under the “Perviy Pivzavod” brand. Today, the company produces products under the brands Yichang, 5 Okean, Kit, Zhigulevskoe, and also engages in contract manufacturing for international partners. The brewery produces more than 90 million liters of beer annually and is one of the leaders in the national market.
The brewery is equipped with modern German and Czech equipment, and the production processes meet international quality and safety standards, including ISO 22000, HACCP, and ISO 9001. Only natural ingredients are used in production: selected malt, hops, spring water, and unique yeast strains. All beer varieties are brewed according to traditional bottom-fermentation and top-fermentation technologies, which ensure a rich taste and stable quality.
Perviy Pivzavod actively participates in industry exhibitions and competitions, where its products have repeatedly been awarded for taste, packaging, and innovation. Collaborating with Perviy Pivzavod Almaty provides access to a product with a rich history, a recognizable brand, a high level of localization, and stable quality, backed by decades of operation and the trust of millions of consumers.
